When selecting a country to invest in, one have to look at various factors and environments that will affect the new investment, starting with the political, economical and technological. The study of these environments is essential, as they will be able to provide the investors with information on whether the idea will be successful in the country or not. Colombia is a Latin American country that has a lot of opportunities to invest in (cia, 2017). The partners in a company Zip-6 would like to know the information on these factors that affect the business environment in Colombia. The existence of the conflicts has stopped and reduced the investments in the country with many people shying away due to the lack of political stability (Vietor, 2016). The government in 2012 started on peace talks with the other forces and with the good progression of the deal, the country is on its way to a stable political environment (gov.uk, 2015). Colombia is the third largest economy in Latin America and has been recognized by World Bank as a top investor protector in the region. The country in 2013 began the accession process into the OECD, which will improve the business environment in the country and hopes to be fully accessioned by the year 2018 (gov.uk, 2015). This event plays a big role into the economy of the country considering the recent fall in the economic growth due to fall in the prices of oil in the country (cia,
