Stages of Colon Caner Colon cancer is cancer impacts the rectum or colon, which is the large intestine, and sometimes doctors and scholars call it colorectal cancer (1).Colon cancer develops slowly, so most people with colon cancer do not express any symptoms (2).The tumor begins as polyps in the colon for years then these polyps growth and turns to cancer (2).Moreover, colon cancer has several stages. The stage is important guide of how far the tumor has grown into the colon wall, and if it has spread to other areas of the body(3).Stages of colon cancer are complicated and develop gradually Stage 0 (Carcinoma in Situ) and stage 1 , Stage II and Stage III , Stage IV .

After that Cancer increased through the serosa of the colon wall but has not spread to nearby organs ,and this is stage IIB.Then in stage IIC cancer reached nearby organs (4).The fourth stage of develops colon cancer is Stage III.in this stage Colorectal cancer isolated into stage IIIA, stage IIIB, and stage IIIC. In stage IIIA Cancer has spread through the mucosa which is innermost layer of the colon wall to the submucosa that is layer of tissue under the mucosaand may have spread to the muscle layer of the colon wall(4).
