Walking into the airplane I instantly knew I was in for a treat. Never had I been on an airplane before; nevertheless, that would explain the plane jitters even before sitting in my seat. Instantaneously I noticed the low ceilings, seeing that I hit my head on the ceiling as I was walking into the plane: but did not show the signs of anxiety setting in. “Passengers, we now are preparing for take off”, is the last thing I heard before squeezing my eyes shut, ever so tightly. As I feel the wrinkles in my forehead with my hand, I slightly open one corner of my eye, hoping we would be up in the air. To my surprise we were higher up in the air than I imagined us being: I could see the Ohio State football stadium, and just after that the Columbus Crew Stadium. Shortly after, I plug my headphones into the headphone jack, shut my eyes and before I know it we are in Washington D.C. Washington D.C. upon arrival was slightly chilly, not as cold as Columbus though. As the days passed it gradually got nicer, and warmer with a slight breeze. After the ceremony was over I had time to reflect upon the ceremony and the process leading up to it. I thought it was going to be this boring ceremony that I would not have enjoyed one single bit, but come to find out the ceremony was the most interesting Military ceremony I had ever been to. All the history behind it, and all the sequential events that took place during the ceremony really caught my eye and I was impressed. The personal aspect the ceremony had to Jason and his family really meant a lot to all of us. It is a memory I will never forget.
