SWOSU intramural football team, “Happy Campers”, competed in the NIRSA Regional Championship in Lincoln, Nebraska this past weekend. The Happy Campers have won the past four SWOSU Flag Football Championships and have gone undefeated all four years. With that record, the Happy Campers had the opportunity to travel to the University of Nebraska to play in the NIRSA Regional Championship which featured around 40 teams.

For example: If I was to go in and do all the house hold tasks such as cleaning, changing beds, cooking etc., this could lead to the service users thinking that it’s the staff’s job to do the tasks when really it may be that the service users are actually supposed to help and participate in those type of tasks. So reading the daily logs, care plans and activity planners for the service users is a must because not only do I know what my responsibilities are I also find out what the service user’s roles and responsibilities are in and around the home to keep them independent. Person-centred care encourages people to have more involvement in making decisions about their care so they get the support and service they need. There are three main types of long-term care settings such as residential care homes which offer different degrees of personal care, Nursing homes offer care which requires the skills of qualified nursing staff and long-stay hospitals which offer a more specialised medical care. Rational for the observations The rational for using these observations retrospectively is to make sense of the whole person Amy’s life history, looking over her notes, why had she not engaged historically?
