“Of Mice and Men” is one of the best books I’ve read since the 8th grade. The book has a lot of interesting themes like friendship, innocence, and violence. The main characters are George and Lennie. George has the brains and is small and smart. Lennie isn't that smart but he's big and strong. Lennie gets in trouble and him and george has to leave weed to find a new job at the bunkhouse. Friends is one of the most important themes. George, Lennie, and slim has one of the greatest friendships. George and lennie always travel together. george has always took care of him and protected him. George had slim became best friends. Friendship is one of the best part of the book. It shows how easy it is to make new friends and how true friends stick together through thick and thin. Most of the book is filled with new friends but george, lennie, and slim are the most inspiring. …show more content…

In the book violence is one of the best parts of the book. The best fight scene in the book was with Curley and Lennie. Curley came up to Lennie and started hitting him then george told Lennie to fight back. Lennie grabbed Curley’s hand and wouldn’t let go which lead to Lennie breaking curley's hand. Near the end Lennie kills Curley’s wife. Curley’s wife put herself in that situation because she know she wasn’t supposed to talk to him. Lennie killed her by shaking her then her neck snapped.
