A community seems to be kind of the center of Outsiders. A community is a group of people with a special connection. They revolve around each other an lift one another within the community. A community can also be people who just have something in common, such as people in the same neighborhood. Generally, a community is a group of people with a connection. A community does things together within a community. Like throwing a big party within the community. The main characters of the Outsiders are a community. They’re a group of people who share a special connection. The Greasers support each other in a way their families never could. For example, Johnny’s parents constantly beats him so the gang he joins provides the love that his parents don’t. Ponyboy's parents are dead so his brothers take care of them to the point of acting like his actual parents. The Curtis Brothers let Steve bunk with them and he sleeps on their couch when ever his father and him don’t get along. The gang lifts each other up when they’re feeling not so great. That’s one of the main ideas of a community. Sometimes they get on each other’s nerves, but they always stick together…no matter what.
