The movie, “Call of the Wild” made in 2020 did not stay true to the book published in 1903. There are multiple reasons why the book is different from the movie.The first reason why is because this book has a lot more description, action, and shows more of Buck's emotion.The movie does not do the book justice in including all of the more action filled parts.The book has a lot of violence that the movie does not include. There are multiple reasons why I like the book over the movie. This descriptive passage was left out and would have made a nice addition to the movie.

The movie also has major differences compared to the book. For example, in the book there are two twin boys who are the sons of Judge Miller who is Bucks owner and in the movie the filmmakers decided to make those two characters girls instead of boys. The book has both Fransisco and Perralt as male characters, but the movie depicts Fransisco as a girl and did not change the name. To me the movie doesn't make sense on the fact that the Indians didn't kill John Thorton and were not mentioned in the movie at all. I think the book is better due to many reasons. There is a dog named Spitz that was an enemy of Buck who was an important character in the book yet again his role in the movie was changed and instead of dying in the fight with Buck he just gets hurt and walks away and leaves the dog team. There is a minor difference which I caught, the man who hit Buck for the first time wears a red sweater and in the movie he is wearing a red
