With the death of longtime dictator Fidel Castro what is going to happen to Cuba’s government. Cuba is a Communist country and it has been like that for many years. Fidel Castro was a dictator for nearly five centuries until he became ill and relinquished presidency to his brother Raul Castro. This research will be comparing and contrasting Cuba’s and the United States government. Cuba became very popular over the years because they supplied sugar all over the world. Cuba’s main occupations were distributing Tobacco, agriculture, cattle, and sugar. Cuba is the largest caribbean island in the western hemisphere and it is located ninety miles off the coast of key west. Cuba is also a world leader in sustainable ecological practices. Cuba has many rivers, but the longest river Cuba has runs two-hundred and thirteen miles and it is called Rio Cauto. Cuba is “located 90 miles off the coast of Key West, Florida, Cuba is the largest Caribbean island nation. Its neighbors are the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Haiti” (About Cuba). Cuba is about 44,200 miles meaning it it a little smaller than the state of Pennsylvania. Cuba’s geography varies including “rolling farmland, rugged mountains, urban metropolises, quaint Colonial villages and white-sand beaches” (About Cuba). Cuba’s island is mainly divided into fifteen provinces but there is one special providence that its name Isla de la juventud. In Cuba the official language is spanish although there are many other languages that are also spoken. The main religion in Cuba is Catholicism but that will not be the only
