Cesar Chavez and Gandhi are both two different people that defended other people. They both wanted to accomplish an important goal that would change the future for other people to have their rights. Cesar wanted to get paid more money for what they were working for by protesting to the owner of the company and not eat the food the company distributed. Gandhi wanted India to be free once again and not ruled by Great Britain so he gather people to go protest to the government he wanted to accomplish a goal that would help the people of India. He was remembered to a model to the people for helping to free India.

Prominent leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X pushed for changes to provide equality and opportunities for African Americans. King was able to obtain legislative victories such as the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act to end discriminatory practices in America.
Finally, I feel that everything that was done between Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X was a success. It may not have been the greatest success but through these two important leaders there was light shined on the crevices that people were either too afraid to point out or just didn’t know how to quite do so. Through the different techniques brought upon the leaders many people stood up full heartedly behind them. That I feel is what the speeches were all about. Bringing forth the people to solve a problem that had been around for years.

Martin Luther King Jr's and Malcolm X's methods have a few simularities and a few differences. The issue focused on the Negro community struggled with boycott and violence. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X wanted their community to be saved. In this essay, I will be talking about the differences and simularities of the methods use to improve the economic conditions of African Americans. Even so, the Martin Luther King Jr's method was to emphasize a nonviolent arsenal and use the march as a "weapon" and try to stop violnce.

Both men were ministers and victims of assassination. They became famous about the same time. But they respected very different philosophies.

Civil Disobedience by Thoreau is the refusal to obey government demands or commands and nonresistance to consequent arrest and punishment this had an extreme effect on Martin Luther King Jr and Mahatma Gandhi. They were fighting for different beliefs. However they both had the same believes about civil disobedience and they both end in the same place, jail. In the first place Gandhi believed that the only way to confronted injustice was with non-violent methods.
During the 1960s in the U.S. life was built around segregation. In which transportation, schools, restaurants, bathrooms and even drinking fountains were separated into two groups. These groups being “whites” and “colored.” If anyone tried to break through these racist ideologies/practices they were threatened, arrested, attacked, and possibly killed. During this time, two African American men led the Civil Rights movement.
Malcolm X and Mahatma Gandhi were two incredible men, both fighting for independence among their people. These distinctly different men were among the strongest fighters who set foot in authority. Malcolm X, an African-American leader spread religion to combat the weakening of his fellow African-Americans, as well as to expand the supporters of Muslim beliefs. Mahatma Gandhi, a leader in India’s independence movement from the British, weakened British rule through civil resistance. While Malcolm X and Gandhi both fought for their people’s freedom, their religion, beliefs, and methods for achieving independence differ in certain aspects but also have similar elements.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” He payed more attention to human equality, love over hate, and getting equal rights. Starting off, Martin Luther King Jr. explained about having human equality. He believed that any African-Americans can do anything an American can do if they put their mind to it.
Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr “You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty,” Mohandas Gandhi quoted. I have extremely admired Gandhi because his whole life be worked and fought for India’s Independence from the British Empire. Also another important person whom I have respected is Martin Luther King .Jr who attracted many people to his cause by delivering his speech “I have a dream.”
