On August 6th, 1945, the United States dropped, what would be the first and only uses in the history of war, a nuclear weapon on the Japanese city of Hiroshima killing. 3 days later, the U.S dropped another atom bomb on the Japanese city of Nagasaki. The combined total of deaths is 129,000-226,000+ from both cities including those who died as a result of the effects of the bomb. There are 2 ways you can look at this, one being that the droppings were fundamentally the right thing to do, or the other being that it was morally wrong. This is where we turn to the Civil Rights Movement and arguably, the two most prominent leaders of the Movement, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. The other had a rough background with his father dying when he was 6 and his mother being sent to a mental hospital when he was 13; he would lead a life of crime until landing himself in prison and learning of the teachings of the Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam where we would convert himself to a Muslim as he associated himself with Nation of Islam. While both had 2 drastically different backgrounds, both had one common cause, ending racism in America.
