All the great empires , most notably the Byzantine and Mongols were all defeated after enjoying long periods of success. Mongols were successful because they were interacting with many countries because of their conquests. Conquering others allowed the trade routes in Asia to move north. All these great countries and civilizations were so successful , mostly in part that they all worked together and their ideas spread to one another.
Beginning in the 18th century, many ancient civilizations began to decline including the Ottoman empire and the Qing dynasty. The Ottomans had reached their peak late in the 15th century. The turkic warriors demolished the Byzantine empire and established an Islamic society in much of the Balkans and the Mediterranean. To the east a new Chinese dynasty was emerging in the mid 17th century. The Qing emperors were not of Chinese descent, but were instead a nomadic group called the Manchu that conquered a declining Ming dynasty in 1644.
During the era of classical societies, the Han and Roman empires were two vast cosmopolitan societies which dominated regions all throughout Eurasia. In regards to the fall of the Han and Roman empires, both were similar in that they fell victim to internal government decay, but different in that Rome fell to foreign invasions, while Han suffered from rebellions of their own people. At the beginning of the First Millennium The Romans and the people of the Han both extensively used technology to better themselves and eventually all of humanity. The Han empire in China placed more value on technology and technological enhancements then the Roman Empire did, proven by the constant concern of the Han dynasty over the indifference and almost disregard of the Romans. The Han were more accepting and open to technological advancements because they valued the farmers, and common people who they believed helped benefit society however, the Roman were only concerned with the upper class due to their dividing and conflicting social classes of Particans and Plebeians therefore their view of technology was that it was considered unimportant.
Between 200 and 1200 the Mauryan and Byzantine empires both had political leaders and noble classes that expanded empires and spread their religions. The Mauryans developed an elaborate bureaucracy that collected taxes from farming and had networks of people to spy on its own people and enforce obedience. Unlike the Mauryans, the Byzantines created a system of feudalism and used Eastern Orthodoxy to legitimize the rulership of an emperor. A large imperial army consisting of war elephants and cavalry secured power for the Mauryans, while military effectiveness led to the rise of the Carolingian empire and Vikings helped with spread of trade.
In various ways, Han China and Imperial Rome were politically similar yet also had their pair of differences. Two very well-known classical empires, both had highly advanced political systems for their time; Han China, lasted from 206 B.C.E to 220 C.E, and Imperial Rome, lasted from 31 B.C.E to 476 C.E. Many think these two empires where built with no previous influence, however; the Roman Empire had retained many aspects from the Roman Republic, and Han China from the Qin Dynasty. During their peaks, they controlled the majority of the world 's population because of their constant expansion of conquered lands, while their structure of administration and rule influenced many empires and future societies around the world. Aspects such as these, ultimately, led these two empires to be, arguably, the most influential societies in the world; as their legacies still live on today.
The Ming and Qing dynasties were two of many dynasties in China. They were also in fact, the last two dynasties. The Ming dynasty ruled from 1368-1644, and the Qing empire ruled from 1644-1912. Both dynasties had long lasting eras of power because of strong framework from influential leaders. The Ming dynasty had Zhu Yuanzhang who was a successful war leader.
