The evidence supports the paragraph in that the policy of containment was enforced with the soldiers so that if the communist countries tried to invade the countries around the the United States were there to stop them, or at least hold them of till more troops come. The definition of containment is the action of keeping something out or keeping it in one place. Truman used the policy of containment to keep communism out of the United States. Since Truman used his policy of containment he made sure all communism was out of the United States. Another President by the name of Dwight D. Eisenhower used a similar approach in which the policy of containment was used. As did Truman, Eisenhower’s containment policy also kept communism from spreading to the United States and other foreign countries. Without Eisenhower's actions of pursuing Truman’s policy of containment the United States could have been taken by communism, but he started an end to the spread of communism for his era of presidency.
