The 15th century was the start of many voyages and the popular use of ships for trade, traveling, and exploration. Columbus, de Gama, and Zheng He, were all leaders Zheng He was the first major ocean voyager in the 15th century. He led seven expeditions, through the Indian ocean using over 300 massive boats called “treasure ships”. Though, unlike many others in his time, he was not an explorer.
Although separated by over 430 years, the most notable adventures of Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh are both two pieces in the history of exploration. Like many other ventures, they share some similar characteristics: the intent of the trip, the obstacles that came as a result, the important factors that made each quest successful or unsuccessful, and the final result of their travels. The expeditions share many similarities, yet have various differences. In the grand scheme of things, however, they both interconnect the most with their vitality to the progress in the world that we live in.
1. Christopher Columbus and monarchs, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella were interested in the wealth that his expedition would secure. “Columbus was promised a large share of any economic benefits that might accrue from is voyage and extensive authority over any lands he might discover. The monarchs also stood to benefit.” Their anticipation was for the potential of discovery of riches such as “pearls, precious stones, gold silver, [and] spices”, as well as any other wealth that could be “bought, bartered, discovered, acquired or obtained.”
On his 3rd expedition, Jean Francois aimed to establish a colony with him. After that, he returned to France earlier than he would have liked to because he had no success. Jacques Cartier led and went on a lot of voyages in North America in the 16th century. This made a significant impact on now’s exploration and colonization in Canada. He explored the Eastern coast of North America, and Newfoundland, and discovered and mapped out the interior of the Gulf of St Lawrence.

Christopher Columbus and Hernan Cortes were both famous Spanish adventurers during the Age of Exploration. When the explorers came upon land, they encountered two different cultures. Ibn Battuta, a well-educated Islamic scholar born and raised by a wealthy family in Tangier, Morocco, he had begun his journey at the age of 21.
