In the 1960's there was one dominant movement with two leaders with a different cause and effect. Two prominent leaders during the Civil Rights Movement were Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.
The question at hand is what makes a leader a leader. Many lead based off of their own personal belief systems. However, these men were both African American descent, but different in their styles of leadership during the Civil Rights Movement. Malcom and Martin political and religious backgrounds were different and played a vital role in their leadership efforts during the civil rights movement “One could probably say that Martin Luther King enjoyed the best that life had to offer at that time especially the presence of loving parents.
