Who Would You Follow Into The Wild?

The average American doesn’t pick up a few of their closest belongings, quit their job, and walk into the wilderness. Although, both Christopher McCandless and Cheryl Strayed did just that through their expeditions to find themselves. Furthermore, Cheryl Strayed wrote her own biography sharing with the world how this trip was what helped her turn her life around. Whereas, Christopher McCandless is written from Jon Krakauer's point of view, as well as, his families, as to the places he traveled and memories he made along the way. Both books share the emotion of traversing around unfamiliar territory, coupled with, the abundance of kindness from all of the people that impacted Strayed and McCandless life's along their trips. However, the intent and reasoning behind the voyages to find one's self, is the complete opposite.

He came from a good family, who had wealth and loved him and his sister, Corine, unconditionally. He attended college and did track in high school. But once he graduated from college. Chris wanted nothing to do with his family and he wanted to test the boundaries at every possible chance he had.
