Rome vs Egypt weapons and war

Legionaries romans would wear shoulder packs which are large sacks that they would use to carry their supplies/ equipment in. The total weight when they were full was around 90 Ib.
They carried Thick spears that were meant for stabbing.
Later on they designed a spear that had a more narrow point so they could use it for throwing.
Both spears could pierce through armor.
They also had swords and daggers( smaller knife ment for throwing).
Legionaries carried big shields made of wood. The the opposite side of the hand was a metal cover that was meant for when they got to close. They would use the metal cover to strike their enemies.

The rise of the Chinese and Roman empires were very long. It took them four centuries to rise up.
Both of their economies had cultivated land and expressed in currency but they had different ways of production organization. They were also both Patriarchal and conservative.
Everyone had certain roles to fill and they both valued their families but the Romans made it so that there was a legal separation between family and state and the chinese did not.
They both had a technology developments and had culture transformations, political reform, and conquest.They really depended much on military organization and the government’s capacity to mobilize and direct resources.
