The Trickster and the Tricked
In a place of lushful populations of plants. Where waves crash peacefully yet unrelenting on the coast. Is the warm, colorful, peaceful state of Hawaii. Here lives a boy. This boy, the son of Athena, goddesses of wisdom and craft; who has bright, silvery, smoky, eyes as cold as steel. The boy’s name is Percy. He is an out of the box thinker always finding new and creative ways to solve any predicament in his life. He acts cynical, making fun of anyone having an optimistic or cheerful attitude, the friendly type. One day Percy is kidnapped by his partner in crime and brother Cameron and forced against his will on a drawn-out journey.

As Percy was making his long, exhausting, painstaking, ankle rolling, knee scraping, journey up the trails, he started to marvel at how angelic the volcanic rocks looked, after so many years of being hardened. The rocks now balanced out as far as he could see making it breathtaking. His landscape, for a moment,was a beautiful work of art.
Back to reality, out of his daydream, he started to collect as many pieces as he could. Chucking them randomly toward where he left his bag, he didn’t care about missing by what seemed like a mile. As he was finishing, he started to hear a terrifying rumble like a ferocious lion roaring. The land started to shake violently as if something were trying to escape an underground tomb. All of a sudden, blood orange streams of lava started to spew out all around him. He saw it, a bright strike of cobalt blue, as clear as the Hawaiian water on a peaceful day.
