In the play Romeo and Juliet, Written by William Shakespeare, two characters claim to find love at first sight. In order to love one must know their partner and know what they want. While two families hold a long drawn feud between each other, Romeo a Montague and Juliet a Capulet still continue their love for one another. Romeo and Juliet claim their love true only within a few hours of knowing each other. One may argue that the love between the characters is artificial. Romeo and Juliet’s love is artificial because their love was built around physical attraction and their love was rushed. When Romeo makes an appearance at the Capulet party, He spots Juliet across the room. He claims “Did my heart love till now”. As Romeo first notices Juliet, he immediately insist that he has fallen in love. Both, Romeo and Juliet, base their love off of physical attraction for one another. Neither of the two characters met each other before they claimed to be in love. Romeo and Juliet’s love could be considered artificial because it was rushed.
