1. Technology of European mariners allowed them to travel offshore against winds and navigate the ocean. European mariners seeked trade in the Asian spice trade and trade in Africa. European Christians began the crusades and holy wars against the muslims and maritime exploration and expansion surged.
2. The exploration of the Atlantic and India ocean helped develop trade India, while the exploration of the pacific ocean helped establish trade between mexico and the phillipines, also magella circumnavigated the earth.
3. Trading-post empires were first created by the portugese between west Africa and east Africa, tradin post empires forced ships and people to buy safe-conduct passages for protection.

6. The Seven Years War was a period of time when there were many wars and battle being taken place at one time among countries, in Europe the British and Prussia were fighting against France, Austria, and Russia. In India there was fighting between the British and the French, in the Caribbean and Spanish and French allied against the British to prevent expansion. In North America, there was war between the British and French. These wars and battles were fought to gain power, land, and economical advantages that would increase commercial trade.
7. The Columbian Exchange was the trade of goods between the Old and New worlds. It sparked the creation of new foods, domesticated animals, and disease. New foods such as wheat, peppers, beans, and potatoes were introduced. Domesticated animals like the cattle, horses, and chickens went to America. The Columbian exchange brought smallpox, measles, diphtheria, whooping cough and influenza.
8. The European merchants created a global trading system and linked all the ports of the world. The Manila Galleons were fast armed ships that transported Asian luxury goods to mexico, and silver from mexico back to china.
