The Jungle written by Upton Sinclair is a book about the family of Jurgis Rudkus, an immigrant family, moving to America and having to work in meat packing plants in Chicago in the early 1900’s. Cinderella Man directed by Ron Howard is a movie that takes place during the Great Depression in the 1930’s is about a American boxer, James Braddock, that has to survive with little money after getting hurt and not being able to box. Jurgis Rudkus and James Braddock are very similar throughout this book and movie. They go through hard times, but in the end they get what they want and have a much better life.

Jon Krakauer has a high amount of respect for Christopher J. McCandless; not only because they have many similarities, but because McCandless searched deep for the meaning of life and did as he pleased. In the book, “Into The Wild,” Krakauer not only tells the story of McCandless, but also of his own life, and how he has been shaped into his own. Krakauer had a deep love for the wild, just as Chris did. Though, the two did not do the same things, they both pursued their passions which made it easier for Krakauer to relate to Chris. Once climbing a mountain, Krakauer had ran into trouble, just as Chris did on his journey.

These men were Dr. Robinson, Injun Joe and Muff Potter. They were there to steal the gold in the very grave, but a fight busted out between them and Injun Joe killed Dr. Robinson after Potter was knocked unconscious. Once Muff Potter woke up, Injun Joe convinced the confused drunk that he had blacked out and killed Dr. Robinson.

He had to decide where to land his jetliner full of passengers after he began facing problems with the engines. The text, “What is Heroism”, states that there are many forms of heroism. For example, Sullenberger displayed his heroism through saving the lives of all of his passengers, risking his own reputation, and staying humble after receiving awards for his heroic flight landing.

The noon sunlight acts as a HD camera, telling no lies, in the world in which shadows of truth are the harshest, revealing every flaw in the sight, like a toddler carrying his very first camera, taking pictures of whatever he sees. My head looks down at the sight of my cold and lifeless feet, before making its way up to the reaching arms of an infatuating tree, glowing brightly virescent at the edges of the trunk, inviting a soothing, tingling sensation to my soul.
