When the Father reunites with his family after the war, the children believe that “the man who stood there before [them] was not [their] father. He was somebody else, a stranger who had been sent back in [their] father’s place.” (132). The children’s memories of the father portray him as a strong, handsome man who loved to laugh. After he returns home they see that he has aged, and become quiet and closed off.

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey contains a multitude of settings. Some of the settings are important to the plot and some are unimportant and added into the book exclusively for visualization purposes. A few major settings of the book would be: the unofficially titled ‘Walker Hotel,’ the forest with the Silencer and Grace’s house. To begin, the hotel that the crippled survivors reside in after Camp Haven’s implosion is important to the plot because it is where they recuperate and hide from the Others for a substantial portion of the book. The hotel is abandoned, looted, dark and unbearably cold.

One of the first point the author James Axtell gave his opinion on was that Native Americans were clearly absent in the Columbian observance, while now they are the focus. As the narrator prepares to leave his father gives him two gifts, a rifle and various kinds of books his father spent his time collecting, since his wife told him that the narrator liked books. The story ends with the narrator experiencing conflicting emotions on whether he should forgive his father or continue being angry at him.

She finally forgets about him when she finds out he is not even her biological father. The terrible family she came from is no longer her family. She now has finally cut of all of the bad family, except for Mr. ____. Later on, she finds out that Pa has died. The bond is completely broken, making way for others to replace it.

Every novel or stories gives a fundamental ideas or lesson for the readers. Most of the lesson are informative and it brings a changes to the readers mind. There will be a universal of an ideas explored in a literature and readers can abstract numerous themes depending on each individual. Similarly, in the novel “the old man and the sea” Hemingway depicted several themes related to nature, people and so on. However determination can also be one of the theme for the readers because the old man, Santiago didn’t gave up fishing even if he had cramp but he took this as an encouragement in his old age.

Suzy’s depression is ignited by the fact her stern, cheat of a mother is having an affair with Mr. Fox—who has no acknowledgement of what could happen to others involved.
