We didn’t have everything we do today way back when we first started out. We have come a long way from the beginning and technology has soared since the very beginning. It is iteration to learn about how people lived in the past and imagine if we were in that position. The Subarctic tribes had to cope with very cold conditions which limited their food resources, for example they could not just walk out to pick some berries because the climate did not allow that type of stuff to grow. In the Subarctic, ice fishing was very popular because of the cold conditions. In contrast the Northeast and Eastern Woodlands tribes were more rich in resources because they did not have to cope with extremely cold conditions and many berries and other natural foods were able to grow. the subarctic did have some small and large mammals such as moose and elk or rabbits that they could go out and hunt with weapons they had to manufacture themselves, as well as the Northeast and Eastern Woodlands did. …show more content…
For example In the Great Plains many tribes lived in Teepees, Teepees allowed the tribes to set up and disassemble shelter easily, this was helpful to the tribes in the Great Plains because they were always migrating. In contrast to the Great Plains, most tribes in the Northwest lived in long plank houses. In the Northwest there was more water resources and less need to migrate. The houses were built with think planks insulating the shelters, the houses also tied in with religion, there were many rooms in the houses and in each room a family and their children lived, when all the rooms were filled the house was either abandoned or burnt to the ground and they believed the family’s spirits
