Currently, in health care, licensure is a regulatory process in each state to ensure its health care professionals are minimally competent and protects public safety (Thompson & Robin, 2012). Licensure is a state’s grant of legal authority to practice a profession within a designated scope of practice. Under the licensure system, states define each health care licensure by statute, the tasks and function or scope of practice of a profession and provide that these tasks may be legally performed only by those who are licensed. As such, licensure prohibits anyone from practicing the profession who is not licensed, regardless of whether or not the individual has been certified by a private organization. In this paper we contrast the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and the Arkansas State Board of Health- Section of Emergency Medical Services and how each board establishes professional standards and protect public safety.

Healthcare Cost: Costa Rica VS the United States Healthcare has always been a very controversial topic, especially with today's generation. The United States of America does things differently compared to other countries when it comes to the topic of healthcare. For example, the healthcare system in Costa Rica is ranked 36th in the world by the World Health Organization whereas the U.S. is ranked last. So where do we differ? I think three of the most important things in healthcare are what kind of healthcare plans are offered, maternity healthcare, and affordability.

All ED patients were later surveyed about their satisfaction and understanding of their experience of care. Patients who spoke to the Liaison in the waiting room did not report a significant difference in their satisfaction.
Additionally, area hospitals should prepare decontamination zones in the hospital for treating patients and ensure protection of other patients in the hospital. Some chemicals will involve medical staff administering an antidote on scene and provide emergency care, such as medication or oxygen, to save lives (Forest & Howard, 2013). Moreover, Triage areas will need to be set-up at the scene to treat those with the supplies available and ensure that patients needing more thorough medical care can be transported to area hospitals. Some instances may require remote treatment locations to assist medical personnel in treatment of patients and prevent overcrowding in hospitals (Forest & Howard, 2013). While this would require the assistance of additional medical personnel, it can help to save lives after the attack.
If someone suspects abuse, they must report it immediately to a child protection agency and contact a pediatrician. A doctor’s exam should never be delayed and should occur within seventy-two hours of discovery(“Child Abuse”). It is important to notify a doctor and allow them to run tests for internal injuries. Reporting concerns is not an accusation , but a request for investigation and an assessment to determine if help is necessary (“What is Child Abuse and Neglect?”). Even if the child is not being abused, any step to help is okay.
