In the following essay will be discussed the comparison of utilitarianism and libertarianism, Utilitarianism is described as something or someone who became valuable and useful in society, but as the book ‘’justice, what’s the right thing to do’’ explains utilitarianism is best known as generating the possible amount of happiness for the greatest number. In the story of the sailors where occurred the event of the boat getting caught into a storm there was a young boy named Parker, consider him to be in the characteristic of utilitarianism. the story tells how the captain ordered a sailor to kill Parker; the orphan of 17 years old who decided to be in the boat traveling because of friends, Parker was already sick and weak therefore his chance of living was very low, eventually he was going to die very soon. Parker became useful because if he wouldn’t be killed the two sailors and the captain wouldn’t be able to survive until someone come rescue them from the sea.
