Another difference is that the Europeans forced the Incas and Aztecs to change their religion and become Catholic. They sent a lot of Franciscans to convert Indians to their new religion. On the other hand, The Mississippi Valley Tribes were not forced to change their beliefs.
The Aztec Empire like Ottomans and the Mughals existed in the same time period 1428-152 and share some common points despite the vast difference in culture. Like the Ottomans and the Mughals the Aztecs were also a strong force compared to its neighbors terrifying outside powers who lived nearby. All three Empires relayed on war to expand its borders and influence. The Aztecs and the Ottomans also both had system that allowed for talented commoners to move up the ranks. All three empires also to some extent relied on trade to further itself or get basic goods.

Henan Cortes, along with a large number of Nahuatl speaking indigenous allies, conquered Tenochtitlan and defeated the Aztec Triple Alliance under the leadership of Moctezuma II. In the series of events often referred to as “The Fall of the Aztec Empire”. Subsequently the Spanish founded the new settlement of Mexico City on the site of the ruined Aztec capital.

The Aztec’s culture was focused on religion while the Inca’s was mostly about warfare and buildings. The Inca also had a language that consisted entirely of knots. Spanish forces landed in Veracruz in 1519. The group went to Tenochtitlán and gained support from city-states along the way.

In the early 1500s, two powerful Spanish conquerors displaced and destroyed the Aztec and Inca Empires, but did not stop there. The Portuguese sought to overtake African kingdoms, and while they made alliances, they were quick to destroy said alliances when it benefitted them.

The Maya are the best-known classical civilizations of Mesoamerica, originating in the state in southeastern Mexico, Yucatan at around 2000 B.C. They rose to importance around A.D. 250 in present-day southern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and northern Belize. The Maya civilization was a Mesoamerican civilization developed by the Maya peoples. As being the most remarkable civilization in the Western Hemisphere, the Maya produced an extensive range of structures, and have left a great architectural legacy that places the Maya civilization as one of the great preindustrial civilizations of the world.
