CME’s, or Coronal Mass Ejections, is when coronal material is ejected into space at high speeds, sometimes in the direction of Earth. They are sometimes confused with Solar Flares but they are not actually the same. “The most obvious difference between a solar flare and a CME is the spatial scale on which they occur.” This stated in the Coronal Weather Report, is what a CME is and the difference between it and a solar flare.
