Mahatmas Gandhi and Maximilien Robespierre, both attempted to fundamentally change the social and governing structure of their nation, the key word being attempted. They have just as many similarities as there are differences, even though they used completely different methods, they ended up in the end being killed by their own people. They were also both good public speakers, but one tried to eliminate religion, whereas the other just wanted the religions to get along with each other. Robespierre used terror and Gandhi used nonviolence, yet they still had the same outcome.
