Harry was about 11 or 12 years old at the time and had attended the third grade before dropping out of school. Due to Harry’s absence in school, he was placed on truancy. Harry was placed in a parental school in which he would escape and go back home. As he was truant, Harry’s mother would call the police to have him sent back. This upset Harry as he didn’t fully understand the consequences of his actions that wouldn’t allow him to be home with his brother and sisters.
Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is about the offspring of poseidon and a mortal, going on a quest with his friends to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. The bolt went missing and Percy Jackson is accused of taking it. This is an excellent book that was made into a film. Though the film was good it was very different from the book.

Comparison Between Shrek and Harry Potter Films Through a Feminist Lens Shrek and Harry Potter are two popular children and teen movie series that are both seen as innocent movies but they both have deeper underlying messages. They both reinforce patriarchy and conform to traditional gender roles. Both of the leading female characters are put into roles that reinforce patriarchy, the two leading male characters are loved by most and are the main points to both plots, there are few points in each film series that oppose patriarchy, female roles are limited in both film series and masculinity and femininity are clearly defined and follow traditional roles in both films.

Tolerance of People who are Different The idea of tolerance within a community is highly important in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The plot of the novel explores this idea through Salazar Slytherin's intention to wipe out "mudbloods," or wizards with non- magical ancestors, from Hogwarts. Harry himself is only half-wizard, and Hermione's parents are both "Muggles," non-magical people. However, Harry and Hermione are better wizards than Malfoy, who is from a family of generations of pure wizard blood, showing that dedication and work, rather than genetic heritage, are the important factors in guaranteeing success.
