[center][i]Hogwarts, 1st Year:[/i][/center] The eventful trip to Diagon Alley gave Mathangi her first taste of the Wizarding World and left her hungry for more. For her, September 1st couldn’t come fast enough. When Dementors hitched a ride on Hogwarts Express, some of the enthusiasm she felt about her new school was literally sucked out of her. When the headmaster announced that the terrifying creatures were going to be there year-round because a convicted murderer was on the loose, she wondered if she had made a huge mistake. Adjusting to her new life at Hogwarts proved to be more difficult than she expected. The culture shock she experienced when she moved to London had nothing on what she felt here. Everything about Hogwarts and the magical community as a whole mystified her. In her first month, she spent most of her time in the library nose-deep in her required textbooks order to catch up the rest of the kids who grew up in this world. Even though she enjoyed Astoria’s company, she kept the other girl at a distance due to her sister, Daphne, having a reputation of being the poster girl for pureblood Slytherins.
