The attributes We all have traits that define who we are as a person. Each character in both books presented different features and some are more meaningful than the others. Courage was one of them and both aspects presented it very well. One of the illustrations in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was when Huck knew that his dad was back in town, he had to find a his way to escape and that took lots of courage because it is not an easy thing to do and not everybody that can be able to do that. So, as Jim when he figured out they were about to sell him to someone else. Both Huck and Jim had no choice but to go far from everybody who were controlling them. An case from Long Walk to Freedom was when Mandela went to prison more than 3 times and there were always people who tried to break him down and deported him. Even when he went to prison the last time that lasted 27 years, they did everything they could so, to discourage him from continuing to fight and thinking that they were breaking his spirit. Patience is not something that everybody is capable of. Some people like things that appears as magic. In case they did not know, that is not how things in life goes, it takes a little patience to finally get to the goal. Example, in Huck Finn Huck and Jim waited patiently for a perfect day where they will have to escape. After they escaped, they had to travel only at night from one place to another so, no one would find them and waiting until they get somewhere safe. Another perfect example taken from Long Walk to Freedom, was before Mandela was released, he went through a lot of danger. He traveled here and there trying to find somewhere safe for his family and for himself, but there was nowhere safe and most of the time he ended up in prison.
