Nature on its own is pleasant, it’s when humankind is introduced that disorder exists. Nature is classified as “the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans or human creations.” It is believed by some that God had created nature. Nature has existed from the beginning, a balance is able to be produced on its own. Humans try to disrupt this “intercommunication.” Humans are inherently selfish and this effects the way the world is perceived. Humans consider themselves the smartest while they destroy what they live on. Humans are in things for their own sake and don't pay attention to anything else. Nature is able to accomplish everything it has to. Lord of the Flies states “… an open space where bright flowers grew and butterflies danced round each other and the air was hot and still” (Golding 138). This conveys how the natural environment exists perfectly without intervention. The boys are expected to be immature, as long as they don't go to extremes the balance still exists. In the poem “Lines Written In Early Spring” Wordsworth observes natures beauty, stating “The budding twigs spread out their fan, / To catch the breezy air” (17-18). Furthermore, this demonstrates how nature just flows without “conscious control”. If nature isn’t protected it is almost a victim of society.
