Everyone makes planes, but not all plans workout. Both “To a Mouse” by Robert Burns, and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, have similar topics. The theme of the poem is echoed in OMM very clearly. Steinbeck’s book Of Mice and Men echoes some lines of one of Robert Burns’s poems, To a Mouse. But why do I say this?

The Theme of the Robert Burns’s poem ¨To a Mouse¨ is that no matter what, your plan will fail. The poem goes “The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray, and leave us only grief and pain for promised joy.”. In the poem it talks about how the best of plans will fail or go astray. It also states that the plans ¨leave us only grief and pain for promised joy.”. But how does this compare to the book?
