In this essay I’ll be writing about the Death Penalty and abortion. These two topics I feel very strongly about and it’s very important to me. I’m firmly against both, I feel that no one should get to decide when a human life is taken. Clearly you can see that these two topics are pretty similar to each other. God gives us life and He should be the only one can take it away, we shouldn’t get to decide when it happens.

The reason why I decided to write about these topics is because I don’t agree with humans deciding when another human life should be taken. God creates life and He should be the only one who should decide when someone dies. I’ve dealt with a pretty great amount of death in my life and I’m only seventeen. , that’s when the penalty was established. In the eleventh century A.D. William the Conqueror wouldn’t allow anyone to be hung except in cases of murder. In 1608 Captain George Kendall became the first recorded executionist in the New Colonies. The Death Penalty originated as far back as the Ancient Laws of China and it still exists today. You have to have an abortion no later than twenty-four weeks because you can’t have one later than that because it will be too late, the baby will be matured and you can no longer get one. There are different methods of having an abortion some examples of how would be using a pill to kill the baby, a manual vacuum aspiration which is used at three to twelve weeks of your pregnancy, an aspiration is used at sixteen weeks of your pregnancy. There are more ways to have an abortion those were just a few examples. In your third to fifth week of your pregnancy is when the baby starts to develop. During that time the baby’s brain, spinal cord, heart and organs begin to develop. The embryo is now made of three layers, so when you have an abortion there’s a baby that’s there, a human life that has began to grow. Also your baby can feel what’s happening. I don’t agree with abortions, like I’ve said it’s exactly like the Death
