Since they were all for the new constitution, they wanted to go ahead and make it. But the Anti-federalists didn’t want this. They were hesitant on this new government. So, that is why the Federalist papers were created. These were a series of 85 essays that tried to convince Anti-Federalists to ratify the Constitution.
Federalist Paper #51 is written by James Madison and explains how federalism would protect individuals rights. the Anti-Federalist Paper #46 and talks about how the new congress would have not restraints on their powers. James Madison’s Federalist Paper #51 was more persuasive than Anti-Federalist Paper# 46. The Federalist Paper was more persuasive because it states, “The remedy for this inconveniency is to divide the legislature into different branches”.

Instead of a democracy or popular sovereignty, an “aristocratic leader,” would have best led the nation (History in the Making- Chapter 10).
The American Constitution had a fight between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Some of the best political people in the world got together in Philadelphia and other cities to find common ground within governmental organization. My thesis is that the Constitution was able to bring both of the groups concerns together and offer a solution, which would eventually change the future of the 13 colonies. When our country started its own government, there were many weaknesses at first that were needing to be discussed. Without certain attributes, there couldn’t be a strong, healthy government. There were many people that thought that the Constitution needed something to back it up and make it stronger. Therefore, the Federalist Papers, and the Letter to Massachusetts Legislature were created. These documents, ultimately, impacted the government’s decision on the revision of the Constitution.

The First difference is the Federalist Papers provide a strong defense for the United States constitution and one of the biggest impacts of the Federalist Papers is that they place americans into the thought process of the framers of the constitution. The difference for Anti-federalists is the Anti Federalists were not as well organized as the Federalists, The Anti Federalists argued against ratification, and they opposed a strong central government. The Second difference is The Federalists are fearful of excesses of democracy. These Federalists favored limiting some involvement believed in representation.

" Even though their current significance is undisputed, some disagree about the influence the papers had when it came to ratification.
When it comes to the Constitution which our nation will follow for the years to come it is extremely important to make sure this government is set up the way we want it to be. The federalists believe in a central government which is then broken down into separate branches which will eventually be selected by the people. The anti-federalists wanted to have a weak government which we already tried through the articles of confederation and that was a absolute fail. They want it to be ran by the states and we know that will not work. the only good thing they could add to the conversation is the Bill of Rights.
