The Holocaust The Holocaust was a horrific event that took place during WW2. The movement was led by Hitler, the ruler of Germany at the time. His goal was to kill as many Jews as he possibly could. He used concentration camps or holding camps where they were forced to do labor and given little to no food. Hitler also participated in mass killings of the Jews that were inhuman. Hitler and his scientists also did unthinkable procedures on small children and adults during the war. The Holocaust is an event that must never be repeated again. Concentration Camps during the War. Concentration Camps were big prisons where Hitler and his men would round up all the Jews they could and bring them to the Camp on trains. There, they would put everyone to work doing forced labor, including small children. Some of the jobs they were tasked with doing against their will was working in a quarry carrying heavy boulders and other equipment; they were given little to no rest and expected to work non-stop. During WW2 Hitler and his men outlawed Jewish people and people of Jewish descent to live in Germany. So Hitler forced all Jews in Germany at the time to emigrate out of the country. After a short time of this going on, Hitler realized this was taking too long. So they resorted to rounding up all the Jews they could and bringing them to camps just like they would for slave labor once they got to the camp. A Nazi would separate the people. The Jews that were not fit to work were brought to a special place. Shortly after being brought there, they were told to strip down and take a shower. Once they did this, the Nazis would lock the door and allow.
