How do you think an Indian gray mongoose and the King Cobra will interact with each other? In the story Rikki-tikki-tavi, Rudyard Kipling writes about a mongoose and a cobra. The main characters are two cobras and a mongoose. Rikki-tikki-tavi (the Indian gray mongoose), Nag (King Cobra), and Nagaina (King Cobra’s wife). In the story, Nag and Nagaina were aiming at Teddy and his family and wanted Rikki-Tikki to get out of the way. This leads to many fights with the snakes.In my opinion, a cobra and a mongoose will fight most of the times when laid among each other according to Rikki-tikki-tavi.

Indian Grey Mongooses have a body length between 36 and 45 centimeters, and its tail length is 35 centimeters. They weigh between 0.9 and 1.8 kilograms (2-4 pounds). They are found in grasslands, scrubs, and area with bushy vegetation. This is mostly in southern Asia. They mainly feed on rodents, lizards, snakes, birds, insects, eggs, and fruits.

The interaction between an Indian Grey Mongoose and a King cobra is very critical. According to nationalgeographic.com, there is footage of a mongoose and a cobra fighting vigorously. It is shown that when they both saw each other, the King cobra stroke at the mongoose, but missed. In the end, the Indian Grey Mongoose had flipped the cobra over and started to shake him with tremendous effort, and the snake had stopped moving.

In my opinion, the mongoose and the cobra will always fight. Both animals are strong and aggressive, but based on all the facts, it is shown that the cobra attacks the mongoose as soon as he sees him and the mongoose will attack the cobra if seen. In Rikki-tikki-tavi, the cobra saw the mongoose and started to attack him because he seemed like a threat.
