Martin Luther King Jr. followed his Christian faith and believed that African American’s should gain their rights in a peaceful manner without any violence occurring. He thought that this was a technique that would force whites to confront segregation laws. This made many white people to support him and join the protests. He wanted African Americans and whites to work together in a society in which all races get along with each other and have the rights for all facilities. During his most famous speech that was in Washington the “I have a dream” it made him become an American icon which made everyone look at each other for who they are and not their color, which meant that segregation was coming to an end. He used the power of his words without violence to achieve equality for all people. But then he visited Mecca and prayed next to a white blonde male, he realized they are brothers in Islam, so why not be brothers in the real world. He always thought that African Americans and whites should never be together and get their rights without the American’s help and he thought if African American and American were together it wouldn't end up well.
