Thomas’s brilliant stand would allow the Union Army to escape and regroup in Chattanooga which would lead to a victory and the tare of the Confederacy’s communication lines dividing the South. Thomas Jefferson was able to convince people that together, they could form a new nation. The writings of each man reveals a very chaotic time in America’s history and the leadership, determination, and boldness of Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson ensured that when change came, the people were ready for it.
Following the American victory against Britain in the American Revolution, the Americans found themselves in need of a new government that would not repeat the mistakes of their oppressors, and their answer could only be found in a compromise between two brilliant but conflicting ideas. Fifty-Five men all gathered to represent each of the states except Rhode Island, with one goal in mind; to make a new, functional government that would not oppress or burden the people of their nation in any way. Two main ideas were proposed, The Virginia plan and a plan created by William Paterson. These two plans conflicted in many ways and caused heated debates among the state representatives.

They split up and waved goodbye to the others as they made their way. They said goodbye to people they knew in order to make for themselves a new life. Both Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson like many of the founding fathers of America share a ideology concerning independence and freedom in general. Although the two were notably talented writers, the difference in their arguments was their respective deliveries, writing styles, and their timing. Personally, I agree more with the way Thomas Paine chose to present his point of view. Common sense, for example, was a significant eye-opener for many Americans. One of the only reasons it made such huge impact was because it was written in a style that was easy to understand for the average American.
Watching oneself teach is a unique experience. While teaching I am unaware of my vocal tone, nervous habits, and rends of questioning or information transmission. However, when my lesson is put on tape, every moment is preserved in all their glory or infamy. During my first student teaching placement, I recorded myself teaching on the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. This tape revealed positive teaching strategies and room for improvement.

Revere’s account and the poem both discuss how Revere alerted as many people as he could. The poem talks about how Paul Revere rows the boat alone, but in Revere’s account he talks about how he got two friends to row him across the river. Longfellow used and changed historical facts.
Coming from the same domicile. Living amongst each other trying to decide how can they remain neighbors and still live comfortable. Unfortunately the Pilgrims and Puritans couldn’t come up with the solution to the problem. Having to deal with the same oppression together by King James and his followers should have brought them closer but instead the pilgrims and puritans had their old engender. Both wanted to seek freedom.
