In the article “Germany mark the construction of The Berlin Wall”by Associated Press (by Juergen Baetz) points out with many examples of how the Berliners affected. Also “East German Troops seal border with West Berlin to Block Refuges Escape” by NY Times (Reuters) shows as well. Those two big decisions of the Berlin Wall and different government ideas change the Berliners life dramatically. In the article “Germany mark construction of the Berlin Wall” by Baetz they talk about the construction of the Berlin Wall and separated government ideas the affected it had on the people. In par. 2 the city's mayor Klaus Wowereit says “Seeing Berlin divided by the wall tore apart the country as well as separating the city's streets, neighbors and families”. This quotes gives us a perspective and point of view of someone who was there and lived it while the wall was up. Paragraph 5 states “2,000 east German residents were expelled from their houses to allow the communist authorities to secure the new border”.
