In current role I am required to provide support to the International Operations unit and the Business School’s leadership team. This required me to have oversight of the financial administration of the school. Checking and logging all additional payment and salary requests as well and ensuring the payroll and finance deadlines where kept to.
As part of this role I developed a new logging process and revised the form workflow to improve robustness and the ability of the School’s leadership team to monitor expenses.

While at Napier I have served on working group to establish best practice across the then newly formed School Support Service (S3). The result of this working group was a plan of action presented to service Director. More recently I have worked on S3 financial process working group which functions as an on-going team promoting methods across the service enhancements and cost savings. I as result I am currently engaged in a depth review of the Business School printing costs and processes.
I have used a variety of information systems and complex databases throughout my career (Crystal Reporting, Agresso, Business Intelligence, Access, Navision, Vantage, SITS and Cognos). I used these systems and databases to manage a wide range of resources (staff, inventory, sales, financial, credit card and specialist reporting software). These relationships have proved vital when working on the projects I have been involved with and the networks I have created enhanced my performance. My role at Napier requires me to support a number of stakeholders at different levels within and without the School. To ensure I can deliver a consistently good service I need to balance the conflicting demands on my time and negotiate with those managers’ deadlines and priorities for example, managing the infrequent but work-intensive requests for business plans from the Academic director, the need for regular spend reports for the School Support
