The movie Concussion is a movie about a doctor named Bennet Omalu and his journey to find out why football players are dying so quickly despite their healthy brain. Dr. Bennet Omalu is played by Will Smith and Dr. Julian Bailes is played by Alec Baldwin. Albert Brooks plays the esteemed Dr. Cyril Wecht. This movie is rated Pg-13 because there are no elements in the story that would make it a rated r movie. Concussion is 2 hours and 3 minutes long and is a dramatic biographical sports movie. The movie was a positive experience to watch for the most part because it expanded on such things as how large corporations have immense power over other industries and the government. The movie was quite good in general with using Will Smith's capabilities to play Dr. Bennet Omalu using his wide range of emotional control to fit correctly into necessary parts of the story. One of the elements of the movie that made it quite enjoyable was theme of the little guy sticking it to the man. Will Smith portrays the unconventional doctor well using Bennet Omalu wit as a way to overcome his obstacles and nemesis. He plays the role when operating on his "patients" and standing up to people who question his unorthodox methods. This part made it feel like the movie was trying to take a part from Guardians of the Galaxy or X-Men:Class and incorporate it in a different way. These movies are two completely different types of genres and the use of ear buds in both of them were used at more action filled times. Another flaw in this movie is leaving too much up to the viewer's intuition as the did near the end of the movie.
