The article that someone from my group chose was, “Queens 15-year-old arrested for bringing loaded gun to school, the second city student to do so in a week”. This article shows that young people can get their hands on a gun very easily. Guns have the power to kill anyone and they shouldn’t be in a household where a kid can have easy access to it. The gun that the 15 year old brought was a .38-caliber handgun and he easily brought it to a school. The school unfortunately had no weapon scanners, which is why the 15 year old was able to bring a gun to school. Luckily no one was hurt and he faced the consequences. The boy was with a group of people and someone could have been killed. Guns are not toys and there should be no gun violence.

On October 18th, a teen in Meridian, Idaho shot and killed a 15-year-old, but police say the the shooting was an accident. 18-year-old David Provencio was smoking marijuana and consuming alchohol with many others in a home close to East Franklin Road.
