Counselling can be defined as a helping approach that highlights the emotional and intellectual experience of a client, how a client is feeling and what they think about the problem they have sought help for the purpose of this assignment the educational concept and the pastoral context was selected. Counselling in all aspects have several similarities and various differences, which will be compared and contrast and the impact of their organizational culture and Situational and Structural context discussed.

. Counsellors working in this context may also run education on stress management due to education and may provide counselling not only for students but staff members as well.
Additionally counselling in education can also be seen in Higher Education which is learning that takes at university from eighteen and above. McMahon states that counsellors not only find themselves dealing with academic counselling but all aspects of counselling including bereavement, unemployment or anxieties about future careers, etc. The primary aim of counselling at this level is. Consent in counseling context is referred to as informed consent “The doctrine of informed consent, defined as respect for autonomy, is the tool used to govern the relationship between physicians and patients. Its framework relies on rights and duties that mark these relationships. The main purpose of informed consent is to promote human rights and dignity.”(Kettle 2007) Furthermore discuss all aspects of the counselling process which will enable the client to understand the freedoms, rights and any other important facts of the process. As was said before if the person is considered a minor we must explained to them consent from a parent or guardian must be given especially for the pastoral context. Explaining the rights will give the client a greater insight of breaches of confidentiality which may occur and information disclosure. Consent may be done, verbal or non-verbal. A written consent form in this case is known as a counselling contract this is not the actual consent itself, but evidence that consent has been given. It can be argued whether written consent is needed for most cases as it relates to pastoral and education consent is said to be given once the process is explained and you agree to move forward with such counselling. After reviewing confidentiality and consent it both aspects these factors can be said to have a huge impact on the culture of the organization not
