Creation Myths Vs Religion

It may be obvious that religion influences people very much, whether you believe in God or not. Concerning creation myths, there are three main motifs: the idea that God reside in the sky, the idea that God’s have to make more than one attempt to make humans, and the idea that God animates humans to life. You’re probably already thinking about how these similarities in creation myths pretty much set up the whole basis of religion and how things work in the world today.

And another idea would be that the sky is so high up, that of course the Gods would be higher than us, because they are divine beings. It may have showed that the Gods had extreme power over us. Greeks, Hebrews and Christians, Babylonians, Hindus, Incans, Mayans, Yorubas and Cheyenne all had their Gods placed in the sky/ another dimension. The natives to these religions are maybe self conscious and thought that there had to be someone else who will be forever more powerful than anyone. People wanted to feel like they weren't the only ones with problems. Even the divine Gods weren't perfect. Greeks, Mayans, and Yorbans all took multiple tries to make the humans we know. The Greeks had stages of man, we are currently in the Iron Age. There are five stages according to Greek mythology:
The Golden Age, the rule of Cronus; (2) The Silver Age, the fall of Cronus and succession of Zeus; (3) The Bronze Age, the time when the most wars happened (Bronze armor); (4) The Heroic Age, (also the only age not associated with metals) there were many heroes emerging in every corner of Greece; (5) The Iron Age, the age we’re in now. Humans “live an existence of toil and misery. Children dishonor their parents, brother fights with brother and the social contact between guest and host is forgotten.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_Man, Hesiod’s Five Ages) The Yorubas took two tries for humans, one when the creator Obatala starts making humans while he’s drunk and he creates disabled humans and another when he is sober and he makes the most magnificent humans ever. That showed the Yorubas that it’s okay to make mistakes, just learn from them and don’t do what you may or may not have accomplished
