After hearing the details, at least as well as Estua was able to explain them, of how she had been able to mend some of the dragon's wounds, Ernst had an idea. As they walked, Neph made sure to keep himself between the sword maidens and Red, every time Red looked their way Neph snarled at him. Once when Red took too long to avert his eyes Neph charged at him. Gertrude yelled, “NEPH!” Neph stopped his charge, ordinarily he would have tried to look contrite when reprimanded, but he just snarled at Red again. Brock moved up beside Gertrude, “Neph doesn't like Red too much and frankly neither do I.
