Forest Cabin Project I remember Taylor and I were cleaning up after dinner, “I’m so stressed, I’m seeing my parents in a couple weeks. It bothers me so much that I always have to be perfect around them, I’m always so stressed around my family,” Taylor says. “Yeah, I’m sorry you have to go through that feeling. I know what it’s like, if you ever want to talk to anybody I’m here,” I say. “Thanks, I think Kaufman is telling a story, I’m going to listen if you want to come,” They say. “Oh yeah, sounds cool,” I agree. In all honesty, I’ve had enough of Kaufman and his stories, they’re so boring. “Gather around, gather around as I tell you a story,” Kaufman says. “The Cabin by [Redacted]. “Is this going to be long?” Damien asks. Kaufman glares at him rolls his eyes and begins. “It all began in 1958, five friends; Joe, Robert, Barbara, Brett, and Belle, went into these very woods on a camping trip. Two of the friends, Belle, and Robert go to find wood for their fire. While looking, they happened to stumble upon a cabin.” He pauses and looks up at us, pauses dramatically and continues. “This cabin was not an inviting one, it looked abandoned and decrepit, one you might see in a horror film. There were signs claiming that the cabin was federal property and trespassing is prohibited, there was also a very dusty sign that could be barely made out. In the excitement of finding the cabin, the friends never saw the dusty biohazard sign on the door. Peering inside the cabin the five friends examine the interior and decide to step inside. They walk around, the wooden floors creaking with every step. The interior of the cabin seemed surprisingly clean as if it were well maintained. There’s a fireplace that seems to never be used, and beside it a bust. Not a flattering one in the least, the bust seems to made of marble and is a man with a crooked smile and one eye. One of the friends clumsily trip and catch themselves by grabbing the bust by accident. The bust falls on the ground and smashes to pieces. Something appears in the rubble. A gem of sorts? The five of them stare at each other with fear as they hear a loud creaking and chains moving as if something was being lifted up. Spinning around they realize the noise is coming from the fireplace which has now opened up to a dark stairwell. Peering down, the friends decide since they’ve come this far they should continue on down the corridor,” Kaufman reads
