Creative Writing: The Murder Of Melville

I live in Melville, a small town in the midwest that you were not able to find on any internet map, until last month before the murders. I am 15 and I was adopted by a happy family of five when I was young. I have a 3.6 gpa in school and I am going to college for psychology. A german shepard and live in a average house and I live an average life. It all began last month when I was coming home from school. There was a bright flash of light and an ominous feeling came upon me. I was walking past the Longtin house. They are snobby rich people who collect taxes from everyone in Melville, they are also hated by everyone, so no one was sad when they were found for lack of a better word pulverised in their luxurious living room. “Go home and lock your doors!” shouted the remaining government officials. Most were killed probably because they were corrupt. However this response only caused more outrage and forced the government to lock the doors of the city hall to protect themselves. “What shall we do?” said the clerk of our grocery store. “We can’t just wait and see who gets killed next!” I shouted. The crowd started murmuring in agreement. “We can’t act like savages!” shouted the clerk “We must act rationally.” “We have no time for that, we will all be dead soon” “But what are we going to do? I am going home to pray and I advise you to all do the same” Some of the crowd agreed and left to go home and pray. “If we are going to die then they will die with us!” I shouted. “LET US IN! LET US IN!” The towns people stormed the city hall and slaughtered everyone hiding inside. This did not solve their problem. The flash came that same day and took another victim. All of those who killed during the riot were found pulverised a week later. It was then when I realized what was happening. There was nothing to do but sit and think about what we have accomplished in our lives. It is like being stuck in a principal's office. There is nothing you can do to get out of it and you know you are getting in trouble. It is just a matter of when the principal walks in the door. This is our doomsday, our judgement
