In the text it was mentioned that people become who they are based on how they are expected to be in society based on their gender. The article also informed us that a 16-year-old named Junior was followed by police whenever he went to school they followed him through the whole route he took. Junior was only seen as a criminal and not as a normal person because of a little error he committed in the past as if it was hunting him. The author argues that officers want to teach young men lessons by calling them names that make them feel not masculine and they do it in front of female peers to basically embarrass them and motivate them to fight and be tough “be a man”.
