This paper aims to critically analyse the policy - 'Financial Wellbeing and Capability Guidelines Overview' (in the specific area of unemployment) that was developed by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (June 2014) and included under Families and communities Program. This social policy aims to support individuals and families to navigate financial crises and build financial wellbeing, capability and resilience for vulnerable people and those most at risk of financial and social exclusion and disadvantage in partnership with civil society.
