Humans are extremely complex beings. There are around 200 billion neurons in the brain and each of these neurons is connected to 5,000 to 200,000 other neurons. Information flows among neurons in the brain are so large and it is greater than the number stars in the entire universe. (Consortium on Cognitive Science Instruction) With this neural activities events and states that occur in mind, for instance feelings of pain or desire; approaches, beliefs, wishes and worries; sensations of color, smell and sound; tickles and itches; feeling hot or cold; expectations and remembering; feelings of anger, happiness, thirst, hunger and boredom are called mental states. The main question is that do we take our self to be spontaneous consciousness of presence? The ability of our consciousness mind is far away from than what we think it is. Independent of thoughts, capabilities is permanent identity because we have a deep and abiding need to remain consistent with how we define ourselves. Can we say that every thought that goes though in our mind is belong to us? We know that it is so hard the control every thought that goes through our mind and there are many factors that affect our emotions. Related to that self is something that accepts the constant and the same throughout all of the feelings, capabilities, beliefs and encounter with other persons. However, when we associate our spontaneous awareness present with dreams are we still accept our consciousness mind is the brain? While we dream, we are not actually talking with anyone. We cannot see anyone because our eyes are closed, and cannot run, cannot walk. The assets that cause us to scare, the beautiful things that we watch, or crowd of people are not actually exist. In fact when we see of these images in front of us, actually we are on our own bed. While we dream, everything that we see becomes so realistic and we never doubt about its existence. However, in dream only reality is actually what we feel because we go through the same physical feeling in actual life. According to Descartes, Meditation 6, he states "every sensory experience I have ever thought I was having while awake I can also think of myself as sometimes having while asleep; and since I do not believe that what I seem to perceive in sleep comes from things located outside me, I did not see why I should be any more inclined to believe this of what I think I perceive while awake."
